Dear everyone!
I've thought a lot about "Web Searching" since the start of my teaching career. I always thought about "how can I use the greatly useful information scattered all around the internet?" But the answer is always the same - it's really hard and really "TIME CONSUMING." That's why, these days, I thought it's really bothersome to search for useful information.
But, through this week 2 task, I slightly (though not much) changed my mind. I could find the potential of web searching. Like "NoodleTools," if there are websites where we can easily find what we want to find, it's really great because we can save our time. Like "Wikipedia," if we can upload website links which are only turned out to be great, it's really gonna be easy to do our web searching.
But, still there's one more question left. Who's gonna do this time-consuming job for others?

My first blogging
Hello, fellows!
This is my first blogging, so I'm a little concerned.
The reason why I haven't started blogging is that I do not want to reveal my private life to others and that I thought blogging is kind of bragging oneself. These thoughts of mine haven't changed yet, but I'll try blogging and then I'll decide whether I'll continue or stop.
Thought #1
: Having one's own blog is not difficult, but rather really easy.
Because I haven't been blogging so far, I didn't know how to make and what to do. But, it wasn't difficult to make my own blog thanks to the blog templet. Well, if I use the blog for the class, I can make all of my students make their own blog easily.
Thought #2
: Blog can be on-line class, which is the extension of the class.
While uploading my writing in my blog, I realized that this one blog can be a place where my students can share their ideas and discuss a certain topic or class subject.
Well, there will be so many things I can learn from this blogging.
Please wish me to go on.^^

My introduction
Hello, everyone!
My name is Keong-sub, Yeon. I currently teach at Gyeonggi Changjo High school in Korea.
It's been 8 years since I started my teaching career. For all those years, I have taught only high-schoolers, esp. 3rd graders, which I think is not that good as an English teacher. It's because that means I have had to prepare my students for the university entrance exam, not the real English class where they can experience and learn English as much as they can. I'm really sorry that I had to just help my students to solve entrance exam prep. in the class.
I think now is the time that I can, need to and have to change. I realize that it would be unacceptable for me to make any excuses any more for not having a real English class. Like the phrase - "The bird is fighting its way out of the egg. The egg is the world. Whoever wishes to be born, must destroy the world." by Herman Hesse, I'm pretty sure that I need to break out of my routine boring, prep classes into the real English classes.
I hope, through this course, that I can learn lots of new and fresh ideas that I can implement into my class, though most of them would be prep-classes.
I'm looking forward to starting to learn here.
Best regards
Keong-sub Yeon
